Corporate Team Hall of Fame: Molina Healthcare of Ohio

It is an honor to name Molina Healthcare of Ohio as the 2007 Corporate Hall of Fame recipient.  Diane Poling was the team captain Molina.  Although she was walked for several years, this was her first time being a team captain.  Other than Discover Financial Services, she had the most walkers, 33 to be exact, on her team and raised over $3,000.  She did this by internal fundraising competitions, effectively communicating to her walkers, and by just having fun.  Diane is a role model for being a great Corporate Team Captain.

Family Team Hall of Fame:  Riley's Rebels

Ron and Stephanie Benjamin and their children, Kalin, 13 years old, Riley, 9 years old and Braeden, 7 months joined the Walk to Cure Diabetes for the first time this year.  Within four weeks of Riley being diagnosed with Type I, they attended the Family Team Rally to learn about the walk and how they could form a team.  Their team, Riley’s Rebels, recruited 96 Walkers and raised over $8,500.  Congratulations on a very successful first year!

Alexandria's Angels Wins
Most Creative T-Shirt Contest

Alexandria, a third grader in the Olentangy schools, was diagnosed 6 years ago.  She wears an insulin pump with the sensor integrated system and is open to her friends and other children about her pump and diabetes. She likes soccer, dance, gymnastics and arts & crafts and is committed to having a typical childhood.  Diabetes will not stop her.  She works hard to make her life about what she likes and things she wants to do.   Click here to read what was printed on the t-shirts and see her team photo!
