You are invited to participate in
the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes!

JDRF has an unwavering focus on its mission to find a cure.  JDRF annually receives top rankings from independent sources that rate charitable giving.  JDRF leverages its research impact by partnering with and stimulating increased research spending on the part of public and private medical organizations and other entities throughout the world.

Walkers, donators, event volunteers…there is a role for everyone!  Please browse through our pages to learn more, get involved, and help the children.

The Mid-Ohio Chapter took its first fundraising steps at a Walk in September 1994.   Contributions made through our first Walk totaled over $25,000. Thanks to the increasing generosity and commitment of corporate sponsors, family teams and volunteers, in the last two years, the Mid-Ohio Walks have raised over $1.4 million!  This total includes the walk monies generated during similar events in Mansfield.  Nationally, JDRF held over 200 walks in 2009 raising more than $89 million from over 500,000 walkers.

Much progress has been made in Diabetes research.  Currently several human trials are active!  However, as expenses rise the funding needs increase.  Your support is helping us move even faster down the path to a cure for diabetes and its complications.

More than 85 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.  JDRF provided more than $101 million to diabetes research in 2009, and is responsible for more than $1.4 billion in direct funding since it was founded.
